Fenugreek seeds, or methi, are strong and tart with a pronounced, bittersweet scent. They frequently feature within Indian cuisine, specifically Panch Phoran.

Fenugreek seeds boast a long shelf life and can be stored in an airtight container in a cool, dark place for up to two years. They boast a number of different uses outside of food.

With a long history of use in Ayurvedic medicine, Fenugreek Seeds are believed to help balance the three doshas (vata, pitta, and kapha) and promote overall health and well-being. Furthermore, Fenugreek seeds can also be used to help soothe skin irritations, such as eczema and acne.

Containing compounds that stimulate the production of breast milk, Fenugreek seeds have been used for centuries by breastfeeding women. Fenugreek seeds may also help lower blood sugar levels in people with diabetes. Studies have shown that they can help improve insulin sensitivity and reduce fasting blood sugar levels.

Fenugreek seeds are often used in vegetable dishes, pickles and curries across the Indian subcontinent, whereas the Middle East utilise the seeds in sweet treats like Halva to enjoy at the end of a meal.

Lovely seeds that truly make a difference to your dish. Will certainly be ordering them again. I have noticed that there is a totally different taste from the ones that you buy from the supermarket . 100% fresh as with all the spices that I have brought from this company. Will be buying again
