During a recent trip to South Africa, Seasoned Pioneers director, Matt Webster, visited some of the inspirational projects being undertaken by Breadline Africa.
Breadline Africa aims to break the cycle of poverty in South Africa with long-term and sustainable solutions.
One aspect of their valuable work is the provision of renovated shipping containers for various uses including classrooms, ablution blocks, health centres, community kitchens and the Mandela Day library project.
They also distribute food parcels to impoverished communities struggling to survive in the harsh winter conditions and strive to meet the urgent need for care, education and nourishment of small children living well below the poverty line.
In the next few weeks and months, Seasoned Pioneers will be contributing to the work of Breadline Africa by helping to furnish some of the containers with pre-school chairs, tables and blackboards at the Khulanathi Educare Centre in Philippi. Additionally, assistance will be provided in the provision of cots, mattresses and basic toiletry items to Khuti’s Special Needs Centre in Khayelitsha.
Follow Seasoned Pioneers on Facebook to keep up to date with their involvement in this crucial work.
