Parsley is native to the Mediterranean region but is now grown all over the world, featuring in many cuisines ranging from Italian to Middle Eastern and Brazilian. In the middle ages, it was used to ward off evil spirits. Whether this worked or not is up for debate, but we do know that parsley is a great, healthy source of vitamins A, C, and K, as well as minerals like iron, calcium, and potassium.
Air-dried parsley has a more concentrated flavour than fresh parsley, with the drying process removes the water content and intensifies the flavour of the herb. It also helps to vastly improve the shelf life of the herb.

Great product, this may sound silly but I was amazed at how green and fresh looking this product was when I opened up the packet. Usually herbs from the supermarket are on the grey end of the green spectrum but this is vibrant and smells and tastes great.
The herbs and spices from Seasoned Pioneers are more expensive than supermarket versions gram for gram but given the difference in flavour I don’t think I’ll be any worse off as won’t have to use quite as much, plus I can choose organic and fairtrade versions too which is incredibly rare in the supermarket.
Will absolutely be ordering all my herbs and spices from Seasoned Pioneers in the future!
