Tabil Spice Blend

Tabil spice mix has a hot chilli, garlic flavour. The spicy, vibrant blend is often used within North African cooking. It comprises of coriander seeds, toasted garlic, caraway seeds and red chillies. These ingredients impart a deep, earthy flavour that does not overpower its dishes.

‘Tabil’ translates to coriander in Tunisian Arabic. It is used to marinate meat, make dips and dust over flatbreads. This Tunisian spice mix is great to mix with yoghurt to drizzle over dishes. Alternatively, use to deepen the flavour of your tagines and stews.

This handcrafted spice mix is great with roasted vegetables such as aubergines, sweet potatoes and carrots. In Tunisia, Tabil is a great barbecue blend for grilled meats and fish.
