Crushed Red Chillies

Product Size: 26g

Product Overview

The iconic crushed Red chillies are found on restaurant tables in pizzerias, as well as kitchen cupboards up and down the country. This crushed seasoning is highly versatile, and a small sprinkle adds heat and a peppery flavour to its dishes.

Crushed Red chillies are popular within Italian cooking to add heat to pizzas and pasta. You will also see these flakes scattered in Asian stir-fries or dusted over broths. The flakes are also used to add flavour to burger patties, meatballs and potato wedges.

Named one of our essential store cupboard seasonings, try using these chillies to make one of our recipes for Spicy Beans, Five Spice Chinese Chicken or Sambhar.

Bursting with flavour and so convenient

One of my most used Seasoned Pioneers spices so I am glad that the pouch of Seasoned Pioneers Crushed Red Chillies is packed very full. Even when the recipe calls for fresh chillies, I usually add at least a pinch of this to guarantee a nice kick. Most recently I tried it sprinkling on a roasting dish with some coconut oil, then added some blanched broccoli and roasted turning once. It works with rapeseed oil/ kale too. It’s certainly one way to make your five-a-day more palatable to those who aren’t so keen on the greens.
