Mandarin Peel, Cut
Zested and dried Mandarin Peel have a citrus flavour with sweet, tart notes. The flavour is highly concentrated so if using in place of fresh mandarin or orange peel, use sparingly.
This peel is predominately used in Chinese cooking, specifically in stir-fries with strips of steak. Mandarin peel is also great in sweet, baked goods and desserts. Try in cheesecakes, biscuits, muffins, bread and pies. Alternatively, add to gin and tonics and ice teas!
This product can be rehydrated by soaking a small amount in boiling water for 15-20 minutes.
