Kabsa Spice Blend

Kasba Spice Blend contains a fiery mix of spices including cayenne, cinnamon, cumin and nutmeg. These ingredients are tempered with citrus notes from lime powder, coriander and cardamom.

Kabsa is a national dish within multiple Arab states such as Yemen, Qatar, Oman and UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The name Kabsa translates to ‘squeeze’. This alludes to its cooking technique, which involves squeezing all ingredients into one pot. The dish, also known as Makbus, consists of rice, meat, vegetables and spices.

Kabsa is typically prepared with long-grain rice like basmati rice, which is well known for its fragrance and delicacy. The large pot that everything is “squeezed” into allows for the flavours to meld together as the meat and rice cooks.
