Cardamom Green, Whole Pods
Green Cardamom Pods have an unmistakably sharp, fruity flavour with warm lemon notes. These pods are the quintessential flavour within Middle Eastern and Indian cooking, used in both sweet and savoury dishes.
Cardamom pods are made up of two components: the seeds and the husk that protects the seeds. The seeds are available in whole and ground forms and are the source of cardamom’s characteristic aroma. Try adding to sweet and spicy curries or into the pan when cooking rice. You could even lightly crush to release flavour and add to a Gin and Tonic to infuse smoky and citrus flavours!
